Let’s Build a Snowman!

After the reading of the story ‘The Snowman’, I gave  a piece of play dough to each and every child. On each table, I placed four rolling pins, small beach pebbles, sticks and ribbons. Then, the children were invited to build a snowman using play dough and the provided loose parts. As you can see all the children came out with different ideas & were all satisfied with the ending result.

Christmas Puzzles

All the children in the classroom love puzzles!
By clicking on the picture you will be redirected to the website Jigsaw Planet. I tend to use this website a lot in the classroom, especially during free play. Through turn-taking, each child will be given the opportunity to choose and solve the puzzle on the interactive white board.

Growing our vetches (ġulbiena)

This is how our vetches look like after only one week ツ
Unfortunately, I couldn’t take any photos during the process since I was constantly supervising the children and giving my assistance when in need. All the children were aware that when growing plants, first we have to put the soil, then the seeds & then the water. Nonetheless, they really enjoy watering their vetches with a watering can that I brought to class.

Christmas Sensory Bin

This is a Christmas sensory bin which I created for the children to play and experiment. First, I placed green, red, & white coloured rice. Then, I added blue, green & red coloured pompoms, as well as small Christmas ornaments. The children had a lot of fun sorting, scooping, and exploring with the resources.

WELCOME TO MY BlOG! ツ

Hello everyone ツ
I am Ms. Yana, and currently I am following the course B.A (hons) in Early Childhood Education & Care at the University of Malta. I created this blog  so that I will be able to share with you photos showing some of the children’s work that they will be doing in class. Also, here I will promote some home school links where your child can freely continue or revise a task we may start at school, etc.
